About Us

School Planner Compass is a school planning and monitoring system. It keeps the everyday records of a school — timetable, attendance, lessons, homework, results and fees — in one place, and lets proprietors, teachers, parents and students each see the part that belongs to them.
It began as an Android planner for one school's own use and was rebuilt as a web app so a school can be run from any computer or phone, with the same records shared between the people who need them instead of copied between notebooks and chat messages.
What it does
School portal
Included
Timetable, attendance, lesson notes, weekly lesson plans, classroom activities, AI quiz generator, homework and submissions, students, grading, report cards and class broadsheet, school fees, calendar and notices, employee attendance clock-in, activity history and the access audit log.
Private tutor portal
Paid per school
One-to-one and small-group tutor sessions per subject and student, with session notes, materials, homework, progress tracking and the ability to share a session with a student's parents.
Virtual classroom portal
Paid per school
Online class sessions with a class link, session notes and materials, homework, and recordings of the class that only the people you share it with can open.
Practical subjects
Included
Practical scores for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science and Mathematics, recorded alongside the written scores and printed on the report card.
The two paid portals are billed per school, not per teacher or per student, and each is switched on separately. Practical subjects are included with the school portal.
Who it serves
School proprietors and administrators
Set up the school, approve who may in, assign roles, watch billing, read the access audit log, and see activity across the school.
Teachers
Keep the timetable, take attendance, write lesson notes and weekly plans, generate quizzes and classroom activities, set homework, mark submissions, and publish results.
Employees
Clock in and out and see the school calendar and notices.
Parents
See only their own children: today's attendance, homework still due, published grades and the report card, with delivery status so the school knows it was opened.
Students
See their own timetable, homework, notices and published results.
Private tutors and virtual classroom teachers
Run their sessions and recordings inside the portal their school has paid for.
Access is decided by the school
Anyone can create a school and run it as its owner. Everyone else — teacher, employee, parent, student, tutor — asks to join a school and is only let in once the school approves them, and then only into the pages their role uses. A parent sees their own children, a teacher sees the classes they are given, and nobody reaches another school's records. Page access, and what each role may create, edit, delete or export, is enforced by the database, not just by what the menu shows, and approval decisions, role changes and blocked page attempts are written to an access audit log the school can read.
Results the school controls
Continuous assessment (15 + 15) and an examination (70) make the 100-mark total, with practical work recorded separately up to 20. A term's result stays hidden from parents and students until the teacher publishes it, and the school can see whether each published result has been opened. Report cards print with each pupil's total, class average, position in class, attendance summary and remarks; the class broadsheet prints every pupil's scores by subject on one sheet.
Built for the way schools actually run
- Works without internet: timetables, homework and lesson notes can be read and written offline, then sync automatically when a connection returns, with any clash parked for someone to decide rather than overwritten.
- Curriculum structure — class levels, subjects and terms — for Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and India, with an admin page to correct it for a school.
- Classroom activities, lesson notes and 10-question quizzes can be generated by AI against the chosen curriculum, then edited and saved by the teacher.
- Timetables are colour-coded by class, and timetables, homework, examination dates and report cards can be downloaded.
- Class sessions can be recorded with everyone's consent, and the recording is only open to the people it is shared with.
- The app speaks fourteen languages, can be installed on a phone or desktop like an app, and keeps the theme and language a person chooses.
What it does not do
It does not host live multi-participant video: a virtual class opens the meeting link the teacher supplies in a new tab. It does not send email alerts yet — that needs a sender address the school owns to be verified first, so until then notices and results appear inside the app.
